Corrections
How anyone can report a claim that was misread, and what happens to the report.
What a verdict rests on
Every claim is taken from a public video, with the words quoted exactly and the second they were said, and is checked by code against published market prices and economic data. No channel measured here is a customer or a partner, and there is no way to edit a verdict by hand.
What can be corrected
- A quote taken out of context, or a direction read the wrong way round.
- The wrong instrument, the wrong speaker or the wrong moment in the video.
- A deadline read wrongly, or an error in the prices a verdict was measured against.
How to report
A report is made against one claim. Every claim page has a report form near the bottom: say what was misread, and leave an email address if you would like a reply.
What happens next
- The report is recorded against the claim. The verdict stays as it is while the report is open.
- The report reaches the operator, who checks the claim against the video using the published method.
- If a call is taken off the lists, its page stays at the same address with the date and the reason, and says whether the call still counts in the record.
